Business Publications Assignment #3- The Economist

The swine-flu pandemic is likely to infect 40% of the population and maybe more. Because of this, people are panicking and are trying to get vaccinations for the swine flu and anything else they can get. The US has said to spend 6.6 billion for vaccines from Belgium. In the past vaccines have been relatively cheap but due to technology and economics, some shots will be 100 dollars or more. Scientists say one vaccination can prevent multiple diseases that would be very expensive to cure. As scientists develop more and more is should slowly get less expensive, but for now vaccines are not cheap like they used to be.
