-Charlie Fredrick
-I'm from Colorado Springs, CO.
-I live in Corbett, best dorm by far.
-I am taking 6 classes, 14 credit hours.
-I am not working this semester, but will definitely be working once I get the hang of college and my classes.
-CSU was an easy choice for me because I only applied to CU and CSU. I love Colorado too much to leave and being the youngest of four kids I knew my parents would like if they only had to pay in-state tuition for me. Boulder was a very nice campus but ultimately my decision was based on the people I met and their attitudes. People in Boulder did not seem as friendly as the ones I met in Fort Collins. Everyone here seemed friendly and I loved the campus so I decided on it and I love it so far.
-Choosing business as my major was not necessarily because I knew I wanted to own/create a business but rather it is a useful major and I will be able to find a job after graduating. I do not enjoy sciences and I feel I have good social skills and like to do math. Having a business degree does not force you to do one thing but you can work for all different kinds of companies.
- During my free time I enjoy playing lacrosse, watching sports, and listening to all kinds of music and contributing to me already very large itunes library.
-I don't know a single girl in this class but I am hoping to get to know some of the good-looking girls, which there seem to be plenty.
-I have not met any faculty members either but I'm sure I will soon.
-I am very interested in study abroad however I don't speak a foreign language and that would exclude quite a few countries.
-Publications...
-Business Week, heard of it but don't read it.
-Fortune, heard of it but don't read it.
-Forbes, read it before but not often
-The Economist, heard of it but don't read it
-BBC, heard of it but don't read it.
- Denver Post, occasionally read it but not too often
-Forbes Small Business, have heard of it but don't read it
-Wall Street Journal, Read it before but not often
-I have plenty of questions about choosing my concentration and the CSU COB but hopefully most will be answered during BUS 100.
